Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo is in line for a loan move to Bayern Munich before the January transfer window closes.
They are working on a deal with an option to buy for €70m (£61.5m) at the end of the season.
Cancelo has had limited game time since returning from the World Cup, with Pep Guardiola changing the shape of his side.
It is likely his game time will be more restricted than he would like moving forwards, and Cancelo wants to play more regularly.
Cancelo himself is understood to have brought the interest from Bayern to Man City.
City feel they have cover given the emergence of Rico Lewis and also the performances of Nathan Ake at full-back.
